How to Get Motivated in Your Home Business

One of the biggest challenges I see with people who are building a home or online business is that they often don’t have the necessary motivation they need each day to get the things done that they need to get done.

Do you ever feel that way? Do you ever feel like you really want to grow your online or home business to the next level, so you can have more freedom in life, and yet, each day when you sit down to work, it is so hard to stay motivated?

Perhaps you know what you need to do to take your business to the next level, and you know if you just did those steps, you would have the success you want, but when you go to do it, it just doesn’t happen?

I understand, because that has happened to me. I know exactly what I want to achieve, but sometimes I let the day and time just sabotage me. At the end of the day I don’t always complete what I set out to do.

And of course, many others have felt the same way. In fact, it’s a normal way to feel when you are building your own business. There are a few reasons for this.

1) You feel all alone. Your friends don’t understand your business. Your wife or husband doesn’t understand your business. You don’t have anyone to talk with when you get stuck on something.

2) Although you have read the steps on what to do, you are so afraid that you might not do it just right, and end up wasting days or months working on something and having it come out wrong.

3) Perhaps you feel as though you want to do the steps, but something urgent always comes up, and that urgent thing always gets your attention, so you don’t get the important things done.

So – is there a solution?

I believe there is. In fact, any successful person has usually attained some level of mastery over these problems. Of course, if most were honest, they would probably tell you they still struggle with the same issues, but they are doing better than they were before they were successful.

So how to do it?

First, let me say this: I think it’s a little different for each person. I think that you have to start with having a burning desire for whatever it is that you want to accomplish, so that when the distractions and problems come up, you have that burning desire to just push you through.

I know when I was first building my business, sometimes I had to just push through. I was tired, but had to push through. And sometimes that’s what it takes – to just push through.

So how do you get that burning desire if you don’t have it?

A good way to start is to ask these questions:

What is the single biggest thing you want to accomplish this year?

What would it mean for you if you could accomplish it?

How would it feel, deep down inside, to accomplish that?
